about

'Star Waltz' is more or less an album of dedications, to enemies and friends. It is a blend of light and shadow, tales of fictional murder, dreams and the unconscious and songs that are dedications to amazing people. An explosion of vocal harmonies, talking parts, weird tunings and distorted and pitch shifted drum machines. To those who supported me and those who have made me stronger through adversity. It is the final culmination of the Yin/Yang idea first formulated in 'Star Map One E.P.' and continued in 'Dream Cage'.
'Oak Heart' Is dedicated to my friend Zoe.
'The Nurse Who Saw Too Much' to my friend Danna Novak
'The Last Republic' to my friend JMF Casey (aka The Last Francis)
'Golden Supernovas' to my mum.
'Shades Of Man' to my brother 'Topper'
'Daisy Dresses' to the memory of my friend Gemma Horstead
'Lioness' to my friend Rowan Duxbury.
In 'Dogs With The Minds Of Men' the journal entry 'Anthropology And Romance' was written by my late uncle Dave John Farwell and read by my mum Deborah Oldham.
'Roll Boys Roll' is a sea shanty. 'The Frozen Umber' is a piece of fiction about a murder after someone takes the law into there own hands.
