about

'The Selkie' A six song story of a ship wrecked sailor and his love for what he believes to be a mermaid but is actually a selkie, A magical being that can transform from a seal to a human form. This E.P. was written during the first 'Lock down' in the UK as a way to keep me busy. For the first time since my first album I have used violin playing in the songs. It has a way more folk feel as an overall piece, the song structures are fairly simple and the whole piece and idea was inspired by a song I wrote on holiday in west Cornwall in early march 2020 called 'Wolf Rock'.
